Position Overview
- Respond to lodge for service and maintenance requests as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of general maintenance issues including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical projects.
- Fill and treat the heating oil as needed.
- Work with and maintain tools and equipment necessary to perform work duties.
- Notify the Tourism Manager of any mechanical or material issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to carry heavy loads up to 50 pounds, climb ladders to significant heights, squeeze through narrow spaces, and/or adjust heavy objects, frequently required to stand or sit for long periods; walk; bend; stretch; use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of construction or general labor experience.
- Electrical and other appropriate certifications related to assigned work duties.
- Equivalent education and certifications may be substituted for experience.
- Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous equipment and/or materials, securing their safety and advising others.
- Comfortable performing a wide range of complex projects, such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electric systems.
