APICDA is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Community Liaison Officer (CLO) for the community of Atka. The Atka CLO is responsible for promoting APICDA programs in the CLO's prospective community and is the local point of contact for residents and APICDA staff to approach for information or assistance regarding APICDA programs and operations.
- Share APICDA communications with Atka residents, local governing organizations, school, and the fishermen's association in Atka.
- Assist Atka residents with APICDA program applications.
- Conduct at least four community activities per year that promote at least one APICDA program.
- Attend monthly virtual meetings with APICDA staff.
- Attend APICDA's bi-annual (every other year) community conference in Anchorage, expenses paid.
- Assist APICDA staff with organizing and planning community visits.
- Other services requested that relate to APICDA's programs and operations in Atka.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred. Must be a current resident of Atka. Prior working experience in the fishing industry, native organizations, and/or non-profits preferred.
Employment Type:
This is a contracted position with APICDA, with a monthly stipend of $1,250 for work performed.
